After the listening sessions conducted by the search committee it has been determined, the CCBA is currently seeking a DOM who is established in Southern Baptist life, thrives in developing relationships, and desires to help equip churches and pastors to fulfill the Great Commission. The DOM search committee has received several résumés and is continuing to pray for the next leader of CCBA. Due to the holidays the decision has been made to extend the deadline to accept résumés to February 15. Please continue to pray for the man God has for the DOM position as well as the committee as they seek God’s will.

 

A Word from the CCBA Search Committee . . .

The Comanche Cotton Baptist Association's last scheduled Executive Board elected a Director of Missions Search Committee. The committee consists of seven pastors from across the association: Jared Byrns from Central Baptist - Lawton, Curtis Erwin from Crossroads Baptist - Elgin, Luke Harper from First Baptist - Cache, Matt Kelly from Letitia Baptist, Roger Snow from Calvary Baptist - Walters, Mike Teel from Cameron Baptist - Lawton, and Larry Tidwell from First Baptist - Sterling. Since the search committee's conception, the members have spent time in prayer and met to have preliminary discussions on how to fill the vacant position. The committee plans on meeting with the Oklahoma Association of Directors of Missions officers as well as providing listening sessions for the churches of the association to have an opportunity to express their input. Next, the committee will format a job description and start accepting resumés. The committee is not receiving resumés at this time. The committee will publish listening sessions, including the times and locations, at a future date. Please continue to pray for our search committee and our future DOM. God already has chosen for our association; may we be in keeping with His will.
